Aida is the AI compliance assistant included in every UK CoreCompliance subscription, the FCA compliance training service for small UK financial services firms with no dedicated compliance function. Aida answers staff questions from Skillcast's curated regulatory content, shows the source of every answer, and declines questions it cannot source. Conversations are never used to train the model.

An assistant that declines is worth more than one that guesses
A confident wrong answer about a regulatory obligation is worse than no answer. Aida is built so a member of staff cannot be quietly misled, and so the person responsible for compliance can check where anything came from.
Grounded, not generative
Aida answers from Skillcast's curated regulatory content, not from the open internet and not from a general-purpose model's memory. If the content does not cover it, Aida does not invent it.
Cited, so it can be checked
Every answer shows what it came from. The person who asked can follow it back, and the person accountable for training can see the basis for what their staff were told.
Declines what it cannot source
Questions outside the curated content get a refusal rather than a guess. That is a deliberate design choice, and it is the behaviour to test first if you are evaluating it.

Most questions are small, and they arrive at the wrong moment
An adviser is halfway through a file and cannot remember what the suitability rules require. An administrator is not sure whether something counts as a reportable complaint. A director wants to check current Consumer Duty guidance before a meeting starts.
In a firm with no compliance function, those questions either interrupt whoever is nearest, wait for a consultant, or quietly go unanswered. Aida is there so the small ones get answered on the spot, with the source shown.
What Aida is not
It is not compliance advice.
Aida answers questions about the training content and the regulation it covers. It does not tell your firm what its obligations are. Requirements vary by your permissions, activities and roles, and that judgement belongs to your compliance officer or your consultant.
It does not read your policies.
Aida is grounded in Skillcast's curated regulatory content. It has no access to your firm's own policy documents, files or records, so it cannot tell you what your policy says.
It is not on EU CoreCompliance.
Ask Aida is enabled on UK plans. The EU product covers a different regulatory regime and does not include it.

Is Aida included, or is it an add-on?
Included, on every UK CoreCompliance plan, at no extra cost. It is not a separate AI subscription and there is no per-question charge.
Is Aida trained on our data?
No. Conversations with Aida are not used to train the model. Aida is grounded in Skillcast's curated regulatory content and cites its sources. Your firm's data does not go into a training set.
Can Aida answer questions about our own policies?
No. Aida is grounded only in curated regulatory content and has no access to your firm's documents. If you ask it what your policy says, it will tell you it cannot answer that.
What happens when Aida does not know?
It declines rather than guessing. Questions it cannot answer from the curated content get a refusal, not an improvised answer. If you are evaluating Aida, this is the behaviour worth testing first.
Can staff rely on Aida instead of asking the compliance officer?
For quick questions about training content and the regulation it covers, Aida is usually faster and shows its source. For a decision about what your firm must do, it is not a substitute for your compliance officer or your consultant.
Is Aida available on EU CoreCompliance?
No. Ask Aida is enabled on UK plans. EU CoreCompliance covers a different regulatory regime, in four languages, and does not include Aida.
